Pain of an Accusation

Have you ever been accused of anything?

It often hurts, doesn't it? Imagine that and then imagine being accused by someone who's confused.

There's been accusations against someone in my family that they've been "watching" them on social media. Not only does that affect my family member, but it affects the family atmosphere. Stress levels rise and people start snapping.

I know it hurts. But we have to remember that their memories aren't working like ours are anymore. We have to be patient and loving and ready to forgive. It's hard. Love the family member like God loves them. Know that he/she is exactly how God made them to be and this has happened for a purpose.

I'm willing to be here to talk or pray with you if you'd like it. Just let me know.

20 May 2015

Day 1

So. This isn't technically Day 1 of living a life with Alzheimer's but, it's Day 1 of this blog, so it goes.

Alzheimer's is a tough disease. Even people who don't deal with it on a daily basis know that. Everyone deals with it in a different way. Some people use anger to get it out. Others hold it in until it drags them down into a deep web of depression. I've dealt with both in my family. It's rough.

But know that there is a God who sees and knows everything, especially your pain. Stay strong.
